2013 National Safety Council Congress & Expo looks toward the future of safety
More than 13,000 safety professionals expected to attend
ITASCA, Ill., Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Safety Council is hosting its 2013 NSC Congress & Expo in Chicago, Sept. 28 to Oct. 4. This year's event, Leading Safety into the Future, will take a look forward at the challenges those in the safety field will be facing and how the industry can work together to progress on the Journey to Safety Excellence and ultimately save more lives and prevent more injuries.

Keynotes for this year's event include Captain Mark Kelly, Commander of the Space Shuttle Endeavour's final mission, during the Opening Session and Gil Kerlikowske, Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, who will be addressing the hidden epidemic of prescription drug overdose.
Dr. John Howard, Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, David Michaels, Assistant Secretary of Labor and Health at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Paul O'Neill, 72nd Secretary of the U.S. Treasury will all be participating in an Occupational keynote on the future of workplace safety and the impact on the safety profession.
