2013 Most Valuable Professors Competition Now Open for Student Nominations

CHICAGO, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The "MVP" title has long been associated with those at the top of their game. Now, college students have the chance to nominate the professors who have made the biggest impact on their education through Questia's Most Valuable Professor competition.

Questia (www.questia.com), the premier online research and paper-writing tool for students, surveyed students to find out who they turn to first for trustworthy academic advice, and more than half said it was a professor. When asked who their college mentor is, the majority also said it was a professor. It seems as though professors are a go-to source for more than just homework questions — they are advisors, mentors and MVPs!

Questia will take nominations through April 16^th, during which time students can honor the professors who have made lasting impressions on their education and lives. Three winning professors will each get one $2,500 scholarship created in their name, and the reigning MVPs will even become part of the integral team that chooses the scholarship recipients.

To nominate a professor, please visit Questia's Facebook page and tell them why your professor deserves the Most Valuable Professor title. Following the nomination period, voting will then be open to the public to determine which of the top professors will ultimately receive Questia's national title of MVP.
