This year we are working with FIRST, an organization founded by Dean Kamen committed to showing youth the promising futures that science and technology can hold. Proceeds from the event will benefit FIRST and go toward scholarships to high school engineering students to further their ambitions.

The competition was stiff this year and our editorial team was blown away by the high caliber entries.  We are excited to announce the 55 finalists in the 15 categories:

Join Design News on February 11, 2014 at the Anaheim Marriott Platinum Ballroom; 5:15pm for the Golden Mousetrap Awards ceremony where we will recognize the finalists and announce the winners. In addition, meet Dr. James Truchard, our Lifetime Achievement Award recipient; Andrew Morris the Gadget Freak of the Year; and Justine Haupt, the Rising Engineering Star.  Get your ticket and stop by the Marriott for a beverage and a snack after the first day of the show and help us celebrate Justine's accomplishments and the rest of the 2013 Golden Mousetrap Award winners.  

As announced in September, the award ceremony will be held in conjunction with the largest advanced manufacturing trade event in the industry: Pacific Design & Manufacturing, MD&M West, WestPack, PLASTEC West, Electronics West, ATX West, and AeroCon in Anaheim, CA; February 11-13, 2014.
