WASHINGTON, April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) wrapped up its 2013 Global Expo last week, with record attendance, reflecting more than 20 percent growth, and a large, active exhibition floor showcasing more than 120 companies and organizations. The event, which took place April 17-19 at the New Orleans Marriott, featured a CCA FirstNet Summit and keynote remarks by Sprint CEO Dan Hesse. Discussions throughout the event focused on the challenges and opportunities for competitive carriers in an era of consolidation, market change and technology innovation.
CCA's membership includes more than 100 wireless carriers across the United States and close to 200 vendor/suppliers. This year's conference and keynote sessions included commentary from C-level executives of many carrier members, including Sprint, Atlantic Tele-Network, Carolina West Wireless, iWireless, T-Mobile, nTelos, Bluegrass Cellular, MetroPCS and Immix Wireless.
"CCA and its members continue to focus on the need for a competitive mobile marketplace and the pursuit of a pathway to 4G LTE services," said Steven K. Berry, president and CEO of CCA. "The 2013 Global Expo built on this wireless ecosystem focus by bringing together the largest group of competitive carrier CEOs and other decision-makers to discuss the most important aspects of our agenda. CCA events continue to be the place to go for technology, policy and industry professionals who want to be 'where the carriers are.'"
Keynotes, educational sessions and pre-conference events focused on key strategies for competing in the wireless marketplace and monetizing new investments. Executives from carrier and vendor organizations discussed real-world case studies and key issues in the areas of policy, technology, innovation, customer service, branding and marketing.
