2012 N.C. Missions of Mercy Clinic Schedule Announced

CARY, N.C., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The N.C. Dental Society's Missions of Mercy (NCMOM) program that conducts monthly free adult dental clinics throughout North Carolina each year announced its clinical schedule for 2012.

NCMOM will hold clinics in the following locations on the dates shown:

• New Bern - Jan. 20-21
• New London – Mar. 16-17
• Reidsville - Mar 23-24
• Wilmington - Apr 27-28
• Sparta - Jun 15-16
• Fayetteville - Jun 29-30
• Sylva - Jul 13-14
• Hickory - Jul 27-28
• Asheville - Aug 10-11
• Gastonia - Sept 21-22
• Dare Co. - Oct 26-27 
• Greensboro ­- Nov 16-17 
• Charlotte - Dec (Dec 7-8)

In addition, NCMOM will team up with dental volunteers in Virginia for two clinics and another in South Carolina in 2012.

Since its inception in 2003, NCMOM has seen and treated more than 37,000 patients and delivered $14.5 million in free care.

In 2011, thanks to thousands of dental and local volunteers, NCMOM treated 8,253 patients and provided $4.2 million in donated care, an increase of 35% from 2010.
