Technology Leader Shows Strong Figures and Sustained Organic Growth
LÉVIS, QC, March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Creaform, leader in portable 3D portable measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, today announced its financial results for 2012. Once again, the company has had a very successful year with C$44.5 million in annual sales, which makes for an organic growth of 19% over 2011. 2012 technology sales show a YOY growth of 38%, with 74% in Q4. The 3D Engineering Services report a steady YOY growth; significant efforts have been made to add CFD specialists to its FEA team of experts, resulting in an expanded portfolio of numerical simulation services.
"2012 has been an excellent year for Creaform overall, but what's strikes the most is the success that we have had with our new releases. We were right on target in identifying and targeting the needs of the industry with the launch of the Go!SCAN 3D white light 3D scanner, and largely exceeded the number of units we had planned on selling. Furthermore, our new Pipecheck solution, launched back at the end of 2011, has raised major interest among the NDT and Oil & Gas communities, with 76% YOY growth," explained Martin Lamontagne, president and CEO with Creaform.
Among Creaform's various territories worldwide, USA and Japan particularly stood out in 2012, with a YOY growth of 60% and 32% respectively.
3D measurement technologies for quality control (QC)
Creaform's initiative to expand its presence in the quality control and inspection market also have borne fruit, as the company reports a 40% YOY growth in 2012 for its metrology technologies comprised of the HandyPROBE optical CMM, the MaxSHOT 3D optical coordinate system and the MetraSCAN 3D CMM optical scanner, the latter showing an impressive 67% sales growth over 2011.
