2011 Samsung Mobile Challenge Kicks Off in Latin America

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- World Cyber Games, Inc. (WCG), organizer of the premier international video game competition and festival, and Samsung Electronics, the world's leader in mobile technology, started its official kick-off of the 4th annual WCG 2011 Samsung Mobile Challenge (SMC) in Latin America.

The Latin American online preliminary will run for 4 weeks from September 25th to October 23rd. This year, gamers will compete to win total cash prize of US$65,000, just by sending their game scores to the ranking system.

To participate, the 4 weeks' SMC online preliminary, gamers will need to have the official challenge phone 'Samsung Galaxy S II', and log on to Samsung Apps (Samsung application store) and download 'Asphalt 6' for free. Only gamers that upload their scores will have a chance to be invited to the WCG 2011 Pan American Championship. 2 winners will get to attend the upcoming WCG Grand Final in Busan, South Korea from December 8th to December 11th, 2011.

Among total of 27 countries attending this year's challenge, there are 5 Latin American countries including: Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru.
