2011 Irvine Entrepreneur Forum Announces Four of Six Finalists
IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Four of the six finalists have been selected to present at the 2nd annual Irvine Entrepreneur Forum (IEF) on February 28, 2011. The finalists were announced at the Irvine Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Outlook Breakfast event held at the Irvine Marriot. Out of the six finalists, two lucky start-up companies will receive $10,000 in cash prizes for best business plans (Best Overall Business Plan & Best Digital Media Plan).
The finalists will have an opportunity to pitch their companies in front of a panel of angel and venture capital investors. Two more finalists will advance to the final round through popular vote. The four finalists are:
- Derek Wong – Indya Vids
- Joon Min – Enova Water
- Kimberly Porrazzo – Wobwire.com
- AlokeNath – OrderCup
The 2nd annual IEF allows the public to be more involved in selecting the last two winners by voting on YouTube™ video presentations created by the contestants. The public will be able to vote through the website for their favorite contestants in one of two categories: digital media and general start-up. Voting ends February 15th.

Applicants with the most votes from each category will move on to present at the Forum on February 28th.
