2011 D.I.C.E. Summit Announces First Speakers
Leading Interactive Entertainment Gathering Celebrates A Decade of Great Ideas
CALABASAS, Calif., Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) today announced their first set of speakers for the 2011 D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit. The event will be held at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, February 9-11, 2011, and feature a line-up of industry leaders, decision makers and visionaries from the disciplines that are shaping the future of interactive entertainment.

"We are pleased to feature some of the leading creative minds from the whole spectrum of interactive entertainment – film to traditional console games to casual games – come to share their philosophy and approach to producing entertainment."
The 2011 speaker line-up includes:
- John Stevenson – filmmaker, co-director of Kung Fu Panda and previously Head of Story at PDI/Dreamworks overseeing Shrek, Shrek 2 and Madagascar
- Kazunori Yamauchi - President, Polyphony Studios, professional race car driver and producer of the Gran Turismo series
- Mark Cerny – President, Cerny Games, a true veteran of the video game industry and was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Hall of Fame in 2010
- Jeremiah Slaczka - Creative Director and CEO, 5th Cell, responsible for the multi-million unit selling franchises Drawn to Life and Scribblenauts
- Joseph Tringali – General Manager and COO, 5th Cell, and Executive Producer on all 5th Cell titles, including Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life
- Keith Lee – CEO and co-founder, Booyah, responsible for such popular casual games like MyTown and Nightclub City
The D.I.C.E. Summit 2011 is the home of the 14th annual Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony on February 10, 2011, where industry leaders and members pay tribute and recognize the individuals and products that contribute to the growth of the interactive entertainment software business.
Immediately following D.I.C.E. this year will be the Indie Games Challenge winners announcement and celebration. The IGC is a partnership between the AIAS, Gamestop, and The Guildhall at SMU.
