2010 Comparative Heating Analysis, Training Course Now Available to Construction Professionals

WASHINGTON, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2010 Comparative Analysis of Residential Heating Systems by Newport Partners LLC, and a free online training course are now available at www.buildwithpropane.com. Commissioned by the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), the study and training course helps construction professionals navigate through the complex process of selecting home heating systems that are well-suited for their geographic region and their customers' preferences.

The study evaluated new and existing homes in 16 U.S. locations using propane, heating oil and electric energy sources for 14 different types of heating and cooling systems. Key metrics, including annual operating cost, site to source CO2 emissions, upfront cost and return on investment were included in the analysis. To help construction professionals identify which heating systems work best for their region, the findings of the study are categorized by six U.S. climate zones.
