WASHINGTON, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of Homeland Security and the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council are pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Chemical Sector Security Summit will be held July 19-21, for the first time ever in Houston, TX at the JW Marriott.
The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) is a member of the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council and is traveling to Houston for the Summit. SOCMA Managing Director of Government Relations Robert F. Helminiak is set to give closing remarks at this year's event.
The Chemical Sector Security Summit provides a perfect venue to meet with agency and industry officials and learn the latest updates and information about this program that directly impacts the safety and security of U.S. chemical facilities. DHS officials will also be on hand to address questions regarding retiering and other efforts that have been implemented throughout the year.
