103.7 WMGM Rocks Launches New Morning Drive Show On March 31st
LINWOOD, N.J., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern New Jersey's first new morning radio personality in more than a decade will team up with one of South Jersey's most popular rock jocks when 103.7 WMGM introduces the new MGM Morning Show at 6 a.m. Monday, March 31st.
Tess Taylor, 25, will team up with Matt Murray on the new MGM Morning Show with Matt & Tess. Taylor comes to South Jersey from WRKZ "The Blitz" in Columbus, OH, which ranks as the 15th largest city in the United States.
Murray, 41, joined WMGM as the afternoon-drive personality in 2011 and quickly became one of the most popular personalities in the market. Murray formerly hosted the morning-drive program at WHTG ("G-Rock") in Monmouth County.
"We're very excited about teaming up one of South Jersey's most popular rock personalities with a radio voice that's new to the region," explained Paul Kelly, vice president of broadcast operations for Longport Media, which owns WMGM. "Our music won't change, but Matt and Tess will bring a fresh new sound to the station and the area."
Broadcasting with 50,000 watts behind its signal, WMGM – a legacy FM station in the Atlantic City market since 1961 –is South Jersey's only album-oriented rock (AOR) station and features live and locally-produced programming seven days a week at 103.7FM and online at www.1037wmgm.com. 103.7 is also available on smartphones using the free Tune-in app. The format of the station is described as, "If it rocks, we play it."
