TORONTO, April 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Holcim Canada, with the help of volunteers like local Girls Guides, Scouts Canada and community advisory panel members, will have planted over 10,000 trees over the course of its annual celebration of Earth Day. In addition, Holcim Canada employees have rallied to volunteer their time and effort to clean up in and around their sites and the communities where they are located.
"Our employees take great pride in what they do individually and what we as a company do collectively, to give back to our communities and to be stewards of the natural environment. We, as a company, strongly believe in balancing the triple bottom line of people, planet and prosperity" said Bill Galloway, Senior Vice-President, Holcim Canada.
Thanks to the contributions of its employees and cc partners, Holcim Canada is able to make a mark in contributing to the stewardship of the natural environment and increasing awareness about ways that individual behaviours and habits can have an impact.
