LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- 100 Black Men of Los Angeles, Inc., in partnership with the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO), announce the honorees of the 2016 Women of Color Achievement Awards. A total of 17 women will be recognized for outstanding professional achievement and exemplary community service. Sponsored by UPS, Microsoft Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company and SDI International, the event will take place on Friday, November 4th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Century City, CA.
All award recipients were identified by the 100 Black Men of Los Angeles, in conjunction with the Los Angeles chapters of the WPO. The selection criteria included successful operation of a woman-owned or led business that has reached annual revenues of at least $2 million for product-based businesses, or $1 million for service-based businesses. All companies have provided an increase in employment opportunities on a local, regional, and national level and have significantly strengthened the economy.
