+/-25 ppm XpressO Oscillators from Fox Electronics Operate Over Wide Temperature Range
Tight stability couples with industry-standard miniature 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm packaging
FORT MYERS, Fla., Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, now offers its XpressO XO oscillators with an extremely tight frequency stability to +/-25 ppm over the operating temperature range of -20 degrees C to +70 degrees C in a miniature 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm package. The new HCMOS 3.3 V FXO-HC336 is part of Fox's full line of low-cost, high performance XpressO oscillators that are delivered within 10 days and offer extremely low jitter.

Fox's new oscillator is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including microprocessor, DSP, FPGA, SONET and Ethernet environments as well as industrial controllers, test and measurement equipment, storage area networks and other applications that require the oscillator to maintain its frequency over a wide temperature range in a compact, cost-effective package.
The RoHS- and REACH-compliant FXO-HC33 family of crystal oscillators are available in any frequency from 0.75 MHz to 250 MHz and offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places. Additional options are also available for the FXO-HC33 product family.
A breakthrough in configurable frequency control solutions, XpressO crystal oscillators utilize a family of proprietary application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), designed and developed by Fox with a focus on noise reduction. These ASICs have the ability to enable users to select the optimum combination of output type, input voltages and temperature performance features.
The oscillators feature a tri-state enable/disable feature that allows the user to turn off the output as a way to reduce power consumption. The contacts of the FXO-HC33 series contacts are constructed with a gold over nickel termination finish and incorporate industry standard packaging, including footprint and pin-out.
XpressO oscillators have reduced noise levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators by using the third order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM). The low cost oscillators also offer extremely low jitter of less than 1 pS.
Samples are available in one to two days, with production quantities within ten working days. The oscillators come standard with Fox's patented serial identification system that ensures exceptional quality control and unique traceability of each individual part throughout the entire manufacturing process.
Pricing for a FXO-HC336 +/-25 ppm oscillator is $0.985 in quantities of 50,000.
