WASHINGTON, July 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ICMA-RC is pleased to announce that Senior Vice President, Chief Operations and Chief Marketing Officer Gregory Dyson has been awarded the National Forum for Black Public Administrators' (NFBPA) highest honor, the National Leadership Award, for his dedication and hard work in public service administration.
Other honorees who received the award at the NFBPA's 12th National Leadership Dinner themed "Selma: The Dream — The Journey," held last night in Washington, D.C., were D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford, and Alabama Congresswoman Terri Sewell.
Mr. Dyson is responsible for overseeing ICMA-RC's mission to serve local and state governments in building retirement security. In this role, he has long maintained significant involvement in key public sector organizations, including the NFBPA.
In recognition of Mr. Dyson's outstanding service in fostering black public administrators, ICMA-RC President and CEO Bob Schultze said, "ICMA-RC and its associates are delighted that NFBPA selected the accomplished and respected Gregory Dyson to receive its National Leadership Award."
