MALVERN, Pa., June 3, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthcare analytics and value-based care driver Healthmonix, announced today the launch of its Audiology Clinical Registry. The Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) was created after the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) approached Healthmonix a year ago about developing and implementing targeted, patient-focused outcome measures, getting them approved through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and leveraging them through Healthmonix's reporting solution MIPSpro®, for Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) participants. QCDR measures have successfully been developed for the Audiology Clinical Registry that address hearing loss, tinnitus, balance disorders, and cochlear implants. Additional measures will be created to further address the needs of the profession over time.
"We are excited to present Healthmonix's Audiology Clinical Registry as an improved pathway for audiologists to participate in MIPS," says Healthmonix CEO Lauren Patrick. "This QCDR fills a void for audiologists that have long felt the measures available in the MIPS program were not well-aligned with their practice."
"Prior to partnering with Healthmonix, we struggled about 11 years with measure development," says Kim Cavitt, past president and consultant for the ADA. "Healthmonix has been a better partner than we ever could have imagined in terms of helping audiology create robust, meaningful measures. We are thrilled about the opportunity the Audiology Clinical Registry provides to deliver improved patient outcomes and care, help audiologists uncover their eligibility for Medicare reimbursements, and ultimately to show the value of audiology services in the healthcare delivery model."
Healthmonix and the ADA will continue partnering on measure development and will combine intelligence to drive increased practice efficiencies, improved patient care, and larger returns from MIPS, through actionable value-based care data analytics.
