Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. Announces Executive Changes

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --  Zodiac® Pool Systems, Inc. (Zodiac) has announced several promotions in executive management following the appointment of Bruce Brooks as CEO of Zodiac's Global Pool Care division in June of 2011. Zodiac Pool Systems' current COO, Anthony Prudhomme, adds the responsibility of chief financial officer-Global Pool Care, and Troy Franzen becomes managing director-Americas, now reporting into Brooks.

Bruce Brooks brings significant international leadership experience in both business-to-business and consumer products to the company, having been previously with Black & Decker Corporation for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Zodiac, Brooks was group vice president for the Consumer Products Group; president, Construction Tools; and vice president, Consumer Power Tools, all at Black & Decker. He has expertise in growing existing business as well as expanding into new markets, and is recognized for his strategic thinking and ability to implement processes and systems that successfully achieve short and long-term business objectives. Brooks will lead the global pool care group from the company's American headquarters in Vista, San Diego County, Calif.

Tony Prudhomme, a veteran of the company, will continue in his role as chief operations officer for Zodiac Pool Systems and will add the role of chief financial officer for Global Pool Care, leveraging his expertise in both operations and finance. Prudhomme led the US-based pool systems group for the 14 months prior to Brooks joining the company, and has been instrumental in consolidating its North American operations in one location in Vista. He came to Zodiac from Water Pik Technologies, Inc., for which he served as chief financial officer. Jandy Pool Products, Inc. was a division of Water-Pik when it was acquired by the Carlyle Group in April 2006 and became part of Zodiac.

Troy Franzen is well-prepared for his promotion to managing director-Americas, reporting directly to Bruce Brooks. He joined Zodiac Pool Systems as vice president of business development in early 2010 and has served as executive vice president of sales and marketing, Americas for the past 15 months; he has overseen strategic planning and execution for the U.S., Canadian and Latin American markets.   He additionally oversees Zodiac's Cover Pools business out of Salt Lake City, UT.  He has more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management. Prior to joining Zodiac, Franzen served as vice president of retail sales for the Hardware and Home Improvement division of Black & Decker and previously, as vice president and general manager of Black & Decker's Outdoor Products division.
