Zimperium Announces Integration with the MobileIron Ecosystem
New integration brings enterprise mobile threat detection and protection to MobileIron Ecosystem
SAN FRANCISCO, March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Zimperium, a leading provider of enterprise mobile security, today announced that Zimperium Mobile Security has joined MobileIron's ecosystem. Together Zimperium and MobileIron will provide companies with a complete mobile security system that delivers sophisticated threat protection to all mobile devices. The integrated solution secures devices against known and unknown threats to ensure corporate data, networks and proprietary systems are not compromised by a mobile attack.
Zimperium provides IT Security Administrators with a way to safely enable BYOD and strike the balance between empowering mobile employees to be more productive with the device of their choice, while at the same time securing mobile devices against advanced threats. Zimperium's non-intrusive approach to securing the device provides complete protection without impacting the user experience, violating user privacy or draining the battery.
Together, MobileIron and Zimperium will enable enterprises to protect a broad range of mobile platforms from host and network attacks. Zimperium continuously monitors and detects threats and provides MobileIron with the visibility to enact risk-based policies, such as quarantine and block ActiveSync, for host attacks, and "Enable VPN" for network attacks. Mobile devices are protected from being compromised and impacting the corporate network.
- Ease of Deployment and Upgrades – MobileIron provides an easy-to-use policy management solution to simplify deployment and upgrade the zIPS Mobile IPS app to a large number of employees via MobileIron Client.
- Network Attack Protection – If a man-in-the-middle (MITM) network attack is detected, Zimperium Mobile Threat Defense will enable the VPN via MobileIron to secure users against the malicious attack.
- Corporate Network Protection– If Zimperium detects a device is compromised by a host-based malware (malicious app or spearphishing), MobileIron can enact risk-based compliance policies and revoke access to corporate services via quarantine or block ActiveSync.
"Mobile devices may have not been a target previously for those who were looking to access or steal corporate data, but that is just not the case anymore," said Shridhar Mittal, CEO of Zimperium. "This latest integration provides MobileIron managed mobile devices with Zimperium's real-time behavior monitoring, flagging both known and unknown malicious activity on the device. This enables innovative companies looking to provide mobile access for their users to do so safely and securely."
"People want to use mobile devices to get their work done. Protecting these devices against advanced threats is an increasingly complex challenge for enterprises," said John Spencer, vice president of ecosystem at MobileIron. "Our integration with Zimperium provides enterprises with comprehensive mobile security, so employees can work the way they want without jumping through hoops or putting data at risk."
