Zeal Optics' New Goggles and Sunglasses Arrive in Stores With New Marketing Support
BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Zeal Optics, known for debuting the world's first snow goggles with GPS technology, will unveil a rebranded website and marketing campaign as a complete line of new goggles, and the eyewear industry's first environmentally friendly line of sunglasses, start to appear in stores nationwide.
"At Zeal, enhancing your lifestyle is our business," said Joe Prebich, director of marketing at Zeal Optics. "This year, we're changing the game and launching some incredible active lifestyle sunglasses and goggles that use industry-first technology. Helping customers discover the new Zeal in stores is what we're focused on; and we are confident that when they see us, they will see a total transformation as a lifestyle brand."
Since all Zeal products are designed for living life to its fullest, the website creates an engaging experience to discover products that are designed for "Movement at the Speed of Life™." The site, that uses the most updated web technology and is filled with motion graphics, will showcase Zeal's new line of 18 colorful sunglass styles, all made from environmentally responsible Zeal Z-Resin™, a bio-based resin from the castor plant. The sunglasses feature exclusive Hyperion™ Lens Technology. These proprietary lenses have all the benefits of polycarbonate materials combined with an exclusive blend of materials that enhance optical clarity. They use innovative polarized technology to protect eyes from sun damage while enhancing color. The company also is debuting MyFit™ Technology, the most advanced sunglass fitting system available today that allows the glasses to fit any and all facial structures. The glasses are priced from $79 to $149 MSRP.
The new line of Zeal goggles include a range of high-tech options that offer some of the best optics in the business in a re-styled line with female frames, photochromic lenses, new designs that hug the face, and a GPS-specific line that is the most technologically advanced goggle line in the world. This includes the most advanced technologies for tracking your speed, run count, altitude and more all with the ability to share those experiences with your friends via all of the different social networks.
"Zeal Optics prides itself on defining the limits of technology and performance," added Prebich. "We are the world leader for this reason. Technology is something that defines our daily lives and integrating that into your favorite day on the mountain makes life on the hill just a bit more enjoyable. We are proud to lead the market by example and show all of the other companies that what they once never thought possible is already embedded in our goggles."
"In the graphics and information on our website, our goal is to reflect the passion people have for how they live in our goggles and glasses," adds Prebich. "All our marketing materials have at their core, bold, compelling imagery, shot by noted Photographer, Daniel Blom, from Stockholm, Sweden. His images feature the products in amazing settings, blurring the lines between adventure and routine. His style is intentionally candid, realistic and down-to-earth."
To that end, the product catalog and brand collateral, developed by Quaker City Mercantile, Philadelphia, is a beat-style diary of four friends and their adventures over 500 miles in an RV. "We're all about living your life and sharing its memories," Prebich comments. "You see great snippets from life on the beach, with your friends, having a great time. This catalog is more of a brand-scape; and it helps guide all the other marketing for the brand."
Today, video is a key component to a brand's positioning. Zeal tapped Sean Aaron and Ryan Young, independent directors of photography with extensive experience shooting for ESPN, Red Bull, Fox Sports and FUEL TV, to produce the company's first moving assets. "You can talk all day about changing a brand," commented Prebich, "but being able to press play, hear the pump of the music, and see what life can be like in a great pair of shades, makes it real." Shot on RED Digital Cinema, Zeal's first videos evoke emotion, fun and excitement. Noted video production house, The Chop Shop in Newport Beach, CA, brought it all together with the right music, graphics, editing and finishing touches.
Retailers who carry Zeal products will be outfitted with complete merchandising kits, including branded counter and custom displays built by DisplayIt Inc., Foothills Ranch, CA. Kits also contain in-store posters, counter cards and door banners.
The launch is supported with a national print advertising campaign developed by Quaker City Mercantile in fashion, sporting, teen and optical publications.
Customers also will discover Zeal products during a national mobile marketing experience that lets customers test-drive Zeal products in fun environments throughout the US and Canada.
"The amazing thing about the re-launch of Zeal is that we redesigned nearly all of our products, retooled our entire manufacturing operation to be more environmentally friendly, reimagined our brand and created all the marketing materials to make one cohesive statement," adds Prebich. "There are lots of other sunglass brands out there. The reason you choose Zeal is because we fit your life. We go where you go, from the hard-core snowboarder/skier to a BBQ with friends, Zeal is built for the speed of life."
Sunglasses and goggles from Zeal are available from opticians, optical and sunglass specialty retail, and sportswear stores nationwide starting in mid-November. For more information on Zeal Optics, visit zealoptics.com or follow the company on Facebook and Twitter.
