YinzCam, Atlanta Braves Partner To Enhance Guest Experience At SunTrust Park
ATLANTA, July 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Atlanta Braves have hit two more home runs, in terms of technology at their newly opened SunTrust Park, thanks to a partnership with YinzCam, the mobile app and analytics developer based in Pittsburgh, which designed a pair of custom platforms to enhance the guest experience.
Fans have their first opportunity to interact with a YinzCam product upon arriving at the Battery, the team's mixed-use development that serves as both an entertainment district and grand entrance to the ballpark. A series of 15 kiosks with vertical, 55-inch, 1080x1920 touch-screen displays adorn the walkway throughout the facility and allow visitors to "Explore the Battery" through touch interactions via a Way Finder App loaded onto the kiosks.
Upon selecting from a directory of vendors and attractions within five, color-coded categories on site (Dine, Play, Stay, Shop and Work), a dotted line appears on the kiosks to give guests real-time directions to their location of choice for ease of navigation.
Once inside the state-of-the-art ballpark, fans with tickets on the club levels will experience the second YinzCam product in the form of a Suite App that allows them to control all of the televisions, including changing the channels, adjusting the volume and consulting a program/channel guide. Through a tablet located in each suite in the SunTrust Club, Delta SKY 360° Club or Terrace Club, visitors will be able to use the app to choose between a number of live game feeds, on-demand Braves highlights and sports, entertainment or news channels.
The YinzCam Suite App, which is configured in 69 locations throughout the ballpark, including inside the teams' clubhouses and managers' offices, will also allow fans to message Guest Relations with questions or concerns, and view additional food and beverage options.
Although designed with the baseball fan in mind, the two apps are not exclusive to Braves' game days. The Way Finder app, will guide fans to their favorite restaurants, shops or theater 365 days a year. Likewise, the Suite App was developed to be dynamically configurable, so that ballpark executives can change the app's skin, background and logos for concerts and other events throughout the year.
"The Braves focus on technology is paramount so that our fans will get the best experience at a ballgame or visiting The Battery Atlanta," said Greg Gatti, the Braves' Senior Director of Information Technology. "YinzCam's unique apps has added ease to navigating our guests visits."
"Fans coming to SunTrust Park will enjoy a unique guest experience to help them find their way and to control their experience in a personalized way in the suites and club areas," said Priya Narasimhan, the CEO and Founder of YinzCam. "We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Greg Gatti and the Atlanta Braves to bring these platforms to life for the new ballpark and for Braves fans. We will continue evolving the platform to add new capabilities, such as food and beverage ordering and merchandise ordering."
