YES Network, Tribune Media Reach Agreement For PIX11 To Televise New York Yankees Games
NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The YES Network and Tribune Media Company today announced they have reached a multi-year agreement under which Tribune Media's PIX11 has secured exclusive over-the-air rights to the New York Yankees games in the New York DMA beginning with the 2015 Major League Baseball season. Specific financial terms were not released.
PIX11 will televise approximately 20 games this season; its broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date. PIX11 had been the broadcast home of the Yankees from 1951 through 1998. YES, which remains the exclusive local television rights holder for the Yankees, will televise 125 Yankees games this season.
