FOREST PARK, Ill., Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Over the past several weeks, the Ferrara Candy Company reimagined Halloween 2014, painting the holiday yellow in honor of its iconic Lemonhead brand and getting behind a new celebration dubbed "Yelloween." Forest Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago and home to the Ferrara Company Factory since 1908, welcomed Yelloween with open arms. At one home, neighborhood kids gathered together to honor the new tradition as they painted each of their pumpkins yellow and received Lemonhead candy to round out their trick-or-treat stash. Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest posts over the past two weeks attested to the trend, with families pledging to paint yellow pumpkins and hand out Lemonhead candy to all the trick-or-treaters at their homes.
