XetaWave Announces $7 Million Investment and Relocation to Larger Facility to Support In-House Manufacturing Line & Future Expansion
BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- XetaWave, a Boulder-based wireless technology provider, today announced it has received a $7 Million investment from several investors to fund its current and future growth in the development of the industry's most advanced, cost effective platform of software defined radios for industrial and military applications.
Additionally, XetaWave announced that it will be relocating to Interlocken Business Park in Broomfield, Colorado to a 24,000 square foot facility that will enable it to establish an in-house manufacturing line for the production of its radios. XetaWave has placed orders for a new state of the art, high speed pick and place robotic manufacturing line. Utilizing Sx Series placement machines from ASM (formerly Siemens), the line will be capable of placing 01005 sized components with placement speeds of up to 120,000 components per hour.
Jonathan Sawyer, CEO of XetaWave, said "While our competitors are following a trend to use outsourced, non-US built radios, we strongly believe manufacturing in house will allow XetaWave to produce radios which have the best quality, best performance, and the best price in the industry."
