World Water Day: What FiltersFast.com is doing to help end the Global Water Crisis

In 2011, FiltersFast.com partnered with a water charity called Wine to Water and TrekDesk, a treadmill desk company, to form the W3 project. The W3 project was created with one mission in mind: to end the global water crisis. All monies raised go directly to Wine to Water to help in their efforts. One single dollar can help provide lifesaving clean water to a person in need for up to a year.

The 2018 theme for World Water day is: Nature for Water. This year's theme perfectly fits what Wine to Water has done and continues to do. Right now, Wine to Water is:

• Rehabilitating wells and building well platforms to protect clean water sources during flooding in the Amazon.
• Drilling new wells, constructing latrines and distributing ceramic water filters to bring clean, safe water to poverty-ridden communities in Cambodia.
• Producing and distributing ceramic water filters and working with community leaders and local churches in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
• Drilling and rehabilitating wells, providing sanitation education and training for subsistence farmers, as well as working tirelessly to bring clean water to disease-stricken communities in East Africa.
• Working closely in partnership with communities to repair wells and access groundwater for areas in Nepal that have been left without clean water since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit the country in 2015.

You see, Wine to Water does more than just bring clean water to those who desperately need it. They assess the needs of each community, build and repair wells, and even educate community members on how to properly care and repair these wells and filters so that they can have access to clean water for years to come.
