Workspring Sharpens Focus on Offsite Team Meetings, Completes Half-Million Dollar Renovation of Innovative Meeting Spaces
Concentrates on Leaders Responsible for Helping Teams Drive Business Outcomes
CHICAGO, Aug. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tightening its focus as the most innovative offsite team meeting space in Chicago, Workspring has completed a half-million dollar renovation of its 10,000-square-foot space at 30 W. Monroe. The renovation converts two previous co-working space offerings into innovative meeting spaces to help teams break through road blocks to successful collaboration and problem-solving.
Workspring helps teams unlock their true potential, providing business leaders with offsite meeting experiences purposefully designed and hosted to produce breakthrough results that drive business forward. Countering complaints about unproductive meetings, Workspring's approach supports truly transformative teamwork, and helps leaders thrive within the accelerating pace of business today. Two new innovations leverage research from parent company Steelcase to create two optimal offsite environments for team progress:
Studio One is a new, larger meeting space for teams of up to 80 participants. It's a hyper-flexible environment where large groups come together to build trust, transfer knowledge, generate ideas and realize organizational objectives. Equipped to enhance collaboration, the space also allows in-studio breakouts, and technologies to enable both physical and virtual experiences – from HD video conferencing to agile robotics.
The Innovation Studio leverages research to offer the optimal mix of resources that inspire and enable breakthrough thinking. The groundbreaking space is complete with analog, digital and experiential tools to spark creativity. It provides the ideal stage for the critical research, ideation, analysis, synthesis and testing that teams must do to supercharge innovation and growth for their organizations.
"The increased pace of business today makes it harder than ever to harness the transformational power of team collaboration, especially when it comes to meetings," says Managing Director Danielle Galmore. "We believe well-planned and staged offsite meetings with the right facilitation and engagement can help teams win the race. With ongoing research on how space and services impact team performance and feedback from customers, we're constantly innovating to keep ahead of these business world changes."
The renovation is the seventh iteration of Workspring's purpose-built, customizable and technology-rich workspaces since it opened in 2008. Located at 30 West Monroe, with 10 varied meeting studios in the historic Inland Steel Building, Workspring has served more than 750 teams in offsite meeting experiences. Workspring's highly-trained, 13-person team hosts multiple customized meeting experiences every week, involving 2 to 80 participants per meeting, hosting teams from innovative companies across the globe and the Fortune 500, including top 50 Chicago corporations.
As part of the renovation, the offsite meeting center is focusing more on business leaders - those responsible for managing teams to improve business results. Meeting experts help design a customized experience unique to their needs and the situations facing their teams. New techniques also help leaders maintain momentum gained in the meeting once they're back in the work place, capturing meeting outcomes and energy so that teams can make them actionable once they leave the room.
Workspring® (www.workspring.com) offers an innovative offsite meeting experience, purposefully designed to support creative collaboration, productive retreat and transformative exchange. With a mission to help teams unlock their true potential, Workspring is an experiential brand of the global office furniture leader Steelcase. Backed by the research breadth and depth of its parent company, Workspring has evolved since its launch in 2007, continually adapting to support changing needs in the world of work.
