Dr. Sears brings extensive knowledge and subject matter expertise, with significant experience in healthcare, to meet an increase in demand for scientific understanding of workplace issues.

Prior to joining Work Institute, Dr. Sears was the executive director of advanced data sciences at Healthways where she led an interdisciplinary team of research data scientists in the discovery of new insights and development of tools that improved the well-being of individuals, organizations, and communities. Dr. Sears has published several book chapters and research articles on the topics of nurse retention, employee satisfaction measurement and value, stress, and organizational performance. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Rhodes College and her Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Clemson University.
