AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Women's Choice Pharmaceuticals (WCP), the Arizona based women's health company and maker of Nestabs DHA and Belly Ballot, one of the largest online social networks of pregnant moms (http://bit.ly/1aDpWn1), have announced a 2014 marketing partnership that will integrate the brand's marketing. "We are very excited to partner with such a reputable brand with a proven history of healthy infant development," says Belly Ballot executive Ravit Dayan. "Belly Ballot's roughly 2 million annual visitors are pregnant moms who value healthy products, and will be eager to learn about Nestabs' advanced prenatal nutrition."

As part of the partnership, both organizations will introduce marketing material to their respective audiences through digital media and offline product samples. "It's a win-win for both organizations," says Women's Choice CEO and Founder Joe Ducharme. "The Nestabs prescription prenatal vitamin brand has been around for more than 50 years and is trusted by the OB/GYN community."
WCP is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on women's health. Their nationwide sales team promotes prescription products for women to OB/GYN physicians in the United States. WCP is currently developing two new products and actively seeking acquisitions and licensing agreements in women's health.
Pharmaceutical and nutrition company interest in parenting media is not a new phenomenon, and has been heating up in recent years. For example, Johnson & Johnson acquired the popular parenting website BabyCenter a few years ago to reach parents earlier than their competitors. "Companies realize that they need to reach moms as early as possible to introduce their products, differentiate themselves from competitors, and ultimately create long-term loyalty. It's essentially a race. Whoever delivers a better solution earlier in the pregnancy, wins," says Ravit. "Online media is the most effective way to identify the pregnant demographic and engage them appropriately."
Belly Ballot became one of the largest concentrations of pregnant moms overnight by integrating social media with baby names. Launched in 2012, the site has thousands of monthly moms that share their baby name choices on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. Parents sort through editorial lists or through a database of over 25,000 names.
