Women in Localization Launches Partnership Program with GALA
SEATTLE, April 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Women in Localization (WL), the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry, is delighted to announce the launch of their partnership program with the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) on the heels of their recent successful collaboration at GALA 2016 in New York. With a membership base of more than 2,000 that includes the top female localization team leaders of the most global brands around the world, this partnership brings new opportunities for women in the localization industry as well as providing thought leadership for GALA content development and deployment.
"We're thrilled to collaborate with GALA to establish a meaningful dialog amongst professionals in the localization industry," said Eva Klaudinyova, co-founder and chairwoman of WL. "Our mission is to foster a global community for the advancement of women and the localization industry in general, and partnering with GALA helps us to achieve one of our organization's main goals."
Starting in 2015, WL has been involved in content creation for GALA's webinar series. By showcasing the deep expertise, talent and knowledge WL members embody -- even when they are from competing organizations -- WL and GALA are able to offer a unique perspective that promotes collaboration, innovation and opportunities for professional women to advance their careers, get mentorship and be recognized.
The partnership continued at GALA 2016, where WL provided the content, session leaders and moderation for the Localization Management Track that focused on important buyer-side topics. WL GALA Partnership Director, Lynda Roslund notes "by tapping the WL community's vast pool of thought leaders to address our industry's most pressing concerns, we were able to provide a unique perspective for our audience that amplified the expertise of both organizations."
