With Level II Training, Worldwide Express Invests in its People
Dallas-based package and freight shipping firm schedules two Level II sessions for 2013
DALLAS, March 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Worldwide Express, a Dallas-based global package and freight shipping firm, has announced the continuation of its nationally recognized sales leadership program with a pair of Level II training sessions in 2013.

The five-day sessions, for account executives and account managers who started with the company about two years ago, supplement the basic – but intensive – training each new Worldwide Express employee receives upon joining the company.
For account executives, basic sales training covers everything from product knowledge to prospecting skills and conducting effective presentations. Account managers, meanwhile, learn how to manage and maintain light package and freight customers. In both cases, employees graduate ready to make an immediate impact in their local markets.
Level II training adds to that education, with more focus on the psychology and strategies that have helped Worldwide Express revenues explode to more than $550 million in run-rate sales. AEs and AMs will hear more about the thinking behind WWE practices so they truly understand what is asked of the company's field representatives.
The week includes best-practice sessions on closing deals, supply chain management and analyzing price structures. There's also the added benefit that participants – many of the best and brightest from across the company – get the opportunity to learn from each other during training.
"The content of this training has been shown to help a salesperson's development," said David Kiger, CEO and founder of Worldwide Express. "We've found the idea-sharing amongst the group has proven to be even more beneficial than anything else. That creative collaboration is one of the ingredients to our success."
This year's Level II classes, the first of which starts March 25, will both be held in Louisville, Ky., home to UPS'® Worldport Air Hub. Worldwide Express, with its 150-plus franchises across the country, is one of the largest authorized resellers of express shipping for UPS. Class participants will tour the enormous facility – 80 football fields large – as part of their training.
The Level II training provides an effective bridge to the company's Advanced Concepts in Excellence (ACE) training, an invitation-only course that takes place at the company headquarters in Dallas. Taken in total, the training regimen has been recognized by Glassdoor.com as one of the nation's best.
