WinSystems' PXI-C415 Series SBCs Optimally Leverage Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Core Operating System in a Cost-Efficient, Production-Ready IIoT Platform for Faster Time to Market
Embedded computer solutions leader to demonstrate seamless performance and capabilities of its PX1-C415 board with MS 10 Windows IoT Core at Embedded World 2018, February 27-March 1
ARLINGTON, Texas, Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- WinSystems today announced that its PX1-C415 single board computers with the Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Core operating system have proven to be a powerful, reliable and cost-effective platform for embedded Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. The leading manufacturer of rugged embedded computers will demonstrate the abundant functionality, performance and reliability provided in a small footprint by these SBCs at Embedded World 2018, February 27-March 1 in Nuremberg, Germany. At its exhibit stand in Hall 2, Space 620 (#2-620), WinSystems will showcase its PXI-C415 SBC series leveraging the Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Core Operating System. Technical representatives will be on hand to help embedded designers explore the platform capabilities and suitability for their upcoming embedded or IIoT applications.
"Our PX1-C415 SBC with Microsoft's Windows 10 IoT Core provides a well-supported platform for a broad spectrum of embedded IIoT applications," said Technical Sales Director George Hilliard. "It combines the reliability and support of WinSystems' industrial embedded hardware with the ease of use and speed of deployment that come with Microsoft's Visual Studio and Windows 10 IoT Core operating system to accelerate time to market."
OPTIMIZED FOR IIoT
Windows 10 IoT Core is the basic license-free version of the Windows operating system specifically tailored to the embedded computing market. It features customizable security, intelligence at the edge, and native cloud integration in a cost-efficient platform that enables complete orchestration of the most advanced IIoT applications. Its incorporated support for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) provides a sophisticated cryptographic and security capability by enabling the root of trust at the hardware layer, which can then be utilized to implement a secure IIoT sub-network.
MIGHTY PERFORMANCE IN A SMALL SPACE
The state-of-the-art, small-scale PX1-C415 single board computer series integrates the latest industrial CPU designs and capitalizes on the newest interfaces for greater design flexibility. Leading-edge Intel® Atom™ E3900 (formerly known as Apollo Lake I) processors deliver more computing performance, faster I/O, and higher-resolution graphics than previous industrial CPUs. By increasing users' avenues for expansion and extending the useful life of their high-reliability embedded systems, the PX1-C415 series maximizes the return on their investment. Further, these SBCs withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C, making them suitable for rugged IIoT environments.
Compatibility with the Windows 10 IoT Core operating system has been tested by WinSystems engineers. Representatives will be running a live demonstration at the Embedded World exhibition.
"We look forward to meeting with the world's brightest IIoT and embedded systems developers and exploring how the PX1-C415 SBC series and other solutions can fulfill their requirements," Hilliard said.
