The Square One Botanical Strawberry Martini is the winning cocktail stemming from more than 25 entries in Bonefish Grill's head-to-head mixology competition at the 2010 Tales of the Cocktail, the internationally acclaimed festival of cocktails, cuisine and culture. For the competition, Bonefish Grill invited spirit entrepreneurs such as Allison Evanow, founder and CEO of Square One Organic Spirits, to showcase their newest products for a coveted home on the Bonefish Grill bar menu. Renowned mixologist and author Dale DeGroff joined Leigh Merritt, Director of Bar Innovation at Bonefish Grill, and Francine Cohen, editor-in-chief of InsideFandB.com, on the judging panel – who swizzled and tasted their way through the entries and ultimately awarded Square One Botanical the winner.
"Square One is a brand that prides itself on creativity, aligning perfectly with our quest for the boldest and brightest big-city bar," said Merritt. "We are committed to staying at the cutting-edge of the industry and are very excited to offer guests a uniquely differentiated spirit in an innovative summer cocktail unlike anything else they have tried."
The sweet and slightly tart flavor of strawberries is a natural match for Square One Botanical, an organic rye spirit infused with a striking blend of eight organic botanicals – pear, rose, chamomile, lemon verbena, lavender, rosemary, coriander and citrus peel. The vibrant flavors of this unique spirit shine when combined with Bonefish Grill's hand-crafted chamomile citrus tea infusion and muddled strawberries – making the Square One Botanical Strawberry Martini a cocktail experience not to miss.
"I am thrilled to have Square One Botanical featured on Bonefish's big-city bar menu," said Evanow. "The restaurant is so well-known for its innovative and inventive cocktails, and to be mixed into that roundup is very exciting."
The Square One Botanical Strawberry Martini joins Bonefish Grill's bar-fresh libation lineup, which also features seasonal offerings such as a Fresh Watermelon Martini and Skinny Rita-Tini. For a complete list, visit www.bonefishgrill.com/our-menu/bar.
