Williams & Williams Expands Foreclosure Auction Options For U.S. Market
TULSA, Okla., Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Williams & Williams Real Estate Auction, a worldwide real estate auction firm and the leader in global live and interactive auctions has expanded their foreclosure auction program for lenders and servicers. Following a successful pilot program in Texas on behalf of a large special servicer, the company's next scheduled sales will occur December 2nd in several markets, including Arizona and Georgia.
"Currently there's only one national auction firm conducting trustee or 'Sheriff' sales," says Pam McKissick, CEO and co-owner of Williams & Williams, "so it's not surprising clients contact us to determine if we can handle their trustee business. Banking clients in particular like the security of more than one vendor and many like the way we do business."
As foreclosure sales increase to deal with "zombie" properties long stuck in the foreclosure process, Williams & Williams expects to be busy. "It takes a very nimble operation to orchestrate multiple 'courthouse steps' sales with a reliable, fully trained team and maintain real-time contact with the trustees," states Doug Turner, who heads up the bank sales division. "We'll be handling the government mandated HUD sales as well as clients' value-based assets to help them get more third-party purchasers buying these homes."
The advantages the auction companies bring to the process are numerous and include wide-ranging marketing strategies to deliver the broadest possible audience of buyers through the transparency of professionally conducted auctions. Williams & Williams' expertise and experience over the past 12 years selling properties in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico - resulting in the sale of over 100,000 homes for lenders, servicers and government entities - will bring the full force of open and public auctions to the foreclosure marketplace as well.
Turner notes, "there are plenty of ready, willing and able buyers for homes but oftentimes it's difficult to find out what homes are really for sale, when and how to buy them, or if the value they offer is based upon something real - beyond just determining how much they can afford to pay. Expanding our professional auction services footprint to these non-judicial foreclosure sales opens the marketplace to potential buyers and is beneficial to all stakeholders."
