During the month of October, people across the country are raising awareness and research funds for pediatric, breast, prostate and other cancers by taking a whipped cream pie in the face as part of the #WhipCancer Challenge.
On Friday, October 21, 2016, the #WhipCancer Challenge is partnering with Sports Talk 1050 WTKA, The Ticket for a 12-hour radio takeover to spread awareness and raise money to support children and families touched by cancer by helping accelerate the development of new lifesaving treatments and enhance survivorship.
From 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., listeners will learn more from physician-scientists and patients from the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in addition to live interviews with former University of Michigan athletes and coaches.
