BEIJING, Dec. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 500 fashion, charity experts, celebrities and influential media gathered in Beijing on December 1st to attend the Charity and Fashion Grand Ceremony, celebrating the unique, edgy and trendy platform that adds a fresh touch to the cause of charities. The Ceremony was organized by People.cn, People's Daily App and Huanqiu.com.
Individuals and charity programs that represent a combination of fashion and charity were awarded at the ceremony. Nomination for the selection was launched in October. After submission and public voting, shortlisted applicants were evaluated by a seasoned judging panel according to their public enlightenment, interdisciplinary exploration and effective influence.
The ten best programs were selected for the "Charity & Fashion Models" award based on the evaluation of the judging panel and online votes. Both concepts of charity and fashion were vividly depicted through the work of each and every one of them.
The programs include "Neo-localism," "Love for you," "Southern Life," "Eight-hour Challenge," "China-Myanmar Friendship Well," "Black Apple Youth," "Iron Veterans," "Ocean Commitments,", "Protecting Young Girls" and "Yinongdai."
Celebrities also had their fair share in charity works. Actress Hai Qing was awarded "the Most Influential Charity & Fashion Icon." Master Yancan, Chen Ming, Li Houlin, Li Guangjie, Guo Jihong, Jiang Yingrong, Teng Haibin, Liu Liyang, Zou Shiming, Zhu Zheqin and Lin Baoyi were awarded "Charity & Fashion Icon."
Another highlight of the ceremony was when the project of "Drones Assist in Post-disaster Reconstruction in Nepal" won the "Future Growth Model."
