West Valley Staffing Group: Over Half Of Silicon Valley Employers Expect Their Hiring Levels To Remain Steady
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Silicon Valley employers expect hiring levels to maintain a steady approach in the last quarter of 2012, according to the latest West Valley Staffing Group Economic Survey.
Each quarter, West Valley Staffing Group (WVSG) surveys a range of hiring managers throughout Silicon Valley about their upcoming hiring needs. The hiring managers come from several industries, including high tech, manufacturing, electronics, finance, semiconductor, medical, aerospace, and alternative energy. Each participant is asked, "Do you expect your hiring needs to increase, remain steady, or decrease in the next quarter and beyond?" This is the only economic survey uniquely exclusive to Silicon Valley!
According to the quarterly survey, over half of hiring managers (56%) expect their hiring to remain steady during the fourth quarter of 2012, compared to 57% at the same time last year. Of the nearly 500 hiring managers surveyed, 21% expect their hiring needs to increase, while 23% expect their needs to decrease.
"Our survey indicated that it will be a solid end to 2012 when it comes to hiring in Silicon Valley," said Charlie Allport, Executive Vice President of West Valley Staffing Group. "We expect hiring to remain stable and a solid start to 2013."
