ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- When non-profit expert Wayne Elsey stepped down as CEO of Soles4Souls in early 2012, he created Wayne Elsey Enterprises to help guide other non-profits and for-profit companies to reach their true callings.

Elsey founded Soles4Souls, Inc in 2005. Under his leadership, it ascended to the top one percent of all non-profit organizations in America within 6 years, and it has helped distribute more than 19 million pairs of shoes to people in desperate need around the world. The unique leadership principles which Elsey used during this time are outlined in his book Almost Isn't Good Enough. Elsey also uses them to teach his clients how to "Believe, Brand, Engage".
The Half Fund is one of many clients now receiving guidance from Wayne Elsey Enterprises. It is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit group based in St Louis, MO. It was created to promote cancer education through commercially viable mass media projects. This unique charity is currently raising funds to reach a $750,000 goal to produce the movie Half. Proceeds from Half will benefit the American Cancer Society and will provide grants for additional projects.
Elsey explains, "The work that The Half Fund is doing is nothing short of amazing. The lives of those who receive a cancer diagnosis, and the lives of their loved ones, are changed in an instant. The Half Fund is 'lifting the veil on cancer' and helping people to learn as much as possible, so they can push through the difficulty and then help others with their testimony."
The Half Fund is self-regenerating. The proceeds generated from Half will be divided between the American Cancer Society and recapitalization of The Half Fund to provide grants to artists whose mass media projects will also educate about cancer. Artists who receive grants are then allowed to pick any cancer charity they choose to split their profits with. The remaining proceeds will come back to The Half Fund where the cycle starts again.
Elsey says, "We worked closely with Dan and The Half Fund board to understand and develop a communications platform which will position them for their mission. I believe the film Half will change the lives of anyone who sees it, and the organization will continue to produce amazing work from talented artists. From an organizational standpoint, I was blown away with the self-regenerating model, and I am sure many non-profits in the future will be taking notes."
