Walton Isaacson's Aaron Walton Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award at Multicultural Media Luncheon at North American International Auto Show
WI's Shauna Williams Wins Multicultural Marketing Award and Lexus' "Long Live the King" Super Bowl Spot Takes Multicultural TV Commercial of the Year
NEW YORK, Jan. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The prestigious Multicultural Media Luncheon, an authorized event held during the North American International Auto Show, awarded Walton Isaacson Co-Founder Aaron Walton the Lifetime Achievement Award at its 9th annual Multicultural Media Luncheon held January 17 in Detroit during Auto Show Press Week.
In addition, the agency's Executive Producer Shauna Williams, one of very few Black women to ever executive produce a Super Bowl spot, won the year's Multicultural Marketing Award for Lexus' "Long Live the King" campaign while the agency's "Long Live the King" Superbowl spot for Lexus won Multicultural TV Commercial of the Year.
"Long Live the King" work also was a finalist for Digital Media Campaign of the Year.
A panel of automotive journalists and bloggers nominated candidates for each of the awards. The nominations were then voted on by business professionals from outside of the auto industry. This NAIAS authorized program was created and executive produced by The Ajamu Group CEO/Founder, Cheryl Parks Ajamu.
This year's keynote speaker was Loni Love, from The Real daily talk show. Prior to her career in the entertainment industry, Love was an Electrical Engineer in the automotive industry.
