Walgreen Co. President & CEO to Speak to The Executives' Club

CHICAGO, March 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 8, more than 400 Chicago area business leaders are expected to attend The Executives' Club of Chicago's Civic Affairs Committee Breakfast at The Palmer House Hilton with Gregory D. Wasson, President & Chief Executive Officer of Walgreen Co.

Mr. Wasson will provide an inside look at Walgreen's social responsibility initiatives. He is expected to discuss Walgreen's newest distribution centers which have been designed to accommodate physically and cognitively disabled workers, as well as their commitment to provide increased access to affordable healthcare services and nutritious fresh foods in food deserts and medically underserved areas. Mr. Wasson will talk about how these efforts are a part of a people-centric business model that has led to increased customer satisfaction and employee engagement, and deeper connections with the diverse communities Walgreens serves.
