Walden University's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

MINNEAPOLIS, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Walden University's School of Nursing announced today that its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, in its first year of eligibility, received professional accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the national accrediting agency for undergraduate and graduate education programs in nursing. This accreditation affirms Walden's DNP program meets rigorous academic and professional standards and effectively prepares nurses to make an impact in their profession.  It also provides stronger evidence that Walden's nursing program is of the highest caliber and is continually improving its students' outcomes.

With this recent program accreditation, Walden now offers a complete portfolio of CCNE-accredited degree programs. These include the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program with specializations in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Leadership and Management, Nursing Education and Nursing Informatics and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Completion Program.
