Enrollment in the program is made up of VoltDB customers and partners including Independent Software Vendors, Value-Added Resellers, Systems Integrators, as well as other individual developers. They are learning how to use VoltDB to build powerful applications to solve velocity data challenges for a range of industries, including financial services, web applications, sensor data, digital advertising, smart grid, gaming, and other real-time analytics. This is helping to accommodate the growing demand for developers that are familiar with VoltDB, as evidenced by the growing number of LinkedIn profiles listing VoltDB experience, as well as F2000 Job Postings specifying VoltDB certification.
"Achieving Volt Vanguard certification was an invaluable step in my ongoing efforts to build data solutions that fully realize the automated energy management capabilities of the smart grid," said Stephen Dillon, data architect at Schneider Electric. "VoltDB's experts provided everything I needed to harness the true speed of their in-memory operational database."
Volt University is now fully automated, so online participants can go through the curriculum at their own pace, and receive immediate test grading. The program offers a vast portfolio of classes, tools, and other instructional content, available in three categories:
