VLN Partners' Virtual Learning Program Reduces Education Costs
New Southwestern PA Virtual School Consortium provides school districts with financial and curriculum-based incentives
PITTSBURGH, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- VLN Partners, LLC announced today the formation of their regional online education program called, "The Southwestern PA Virtual School Consortium," that will help school districts establish their own district-level virtual academies.
As the leading provider of customized public school district virtual learning programs in Pennsylvania, VLN's consortium model provides school districts with both financial and curriculum-based incentives if districts form collaborative groups to develop and implement their own virtual learning programs.
"In these challenging budgetary times, VLN recognizes its responsibility to help public school districts maximize their limited financial resources to find effective ways to establish and maintain their own virtual learning programs," said Alex Stone, VLN's founder and CEO. "We are now offering our products and services on a regional scale."
"Our regionalized approach will build stronger, customized virtual learning programs and significantly reduce the extremely high costs that a school district incurs when a student chooses a third party educational program outside of their home school district," said Stone.
VLN's consortium model provides school districts with financial incentives on origination fees, student tuition rates, and fees associated with the development of virtual courses - encouraging districts to work together to create the best virtual learning option available to their students.
The formation of this offering in the region is the result of several pilot consortium programs that are currently very successful in both central and eastern Pennsylvania.
VLN is the leading provider of customized district-level virtual learning programs in the state of Pennsylvania, with over 40 public school districts in their virtual learning network.
