Visit Anaheim Launches Digital Video Series Highlighting Anaheim's Eclectic And Authentic Local Dining Scene
Partnering with Online Publisher FOODBEAST, New Six-Part Video Series Showcases Hidden Gems Only Previously Known to Locals
ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Studies show that 93 percent of travelers seek unique and memorable food and drink experiences, according to the 2016 Food Travel Monitor report. To attract and educate the food-focused visitor, Visit Anaheim, the destination organization for Anaheim and Garden Grove, and content producers FOODBEAST, today launched its next serving of delicious culinary-themed videos. The campaign highlights inventive dishes, authentic flavors and international eats from all corners of the destination and is designed to spoon-feed the area's unexpected culinary scene to travelers. In the six-part video series, Visit Anaheim is spotlighting true Anaheim and Garden Grove culture through food.
The first video, launched today, takes viewers to Anaheim's only rooftop bar, THE FIFTH, for an inventive adult dessert featuring tequila and lime Drunken Donuts. Subsequently, every Thursday until March 1, viewers can relish in an inside look at a dish from five other locations. These locations are a mix of strategically selected restaurants from all around Anaheim and Garden Grove from the Anaheim Resort district to off-the-beaten-path local neighborhood gems. Featured foodie havens selected to showcase the destination's unexpected culinary delights will be Center Street Cheese Shop, Glee Donuts & Burgers, La Michoacana Ice Cream Shop and Fire + Ice. The pièce de résistance of the series will be a culinary neighborhood spotlight on Little Saigon, where five mom-and-pop restaurants will be introduced.
"Visit Anaheim partnered with FOODBEAST for this video series to take a deeper dive and showcase the true culinary fabric of our destination," says Charles Harris, senior vice president of marketing, Visit Anaheim. "Building on a series we launched in 2016, we want to continue giving our visitors the inside track on the most authentic dining gems and unexpected experiences our area has to offer, one dish at a time."
Visit Anaheim is partnering with Santa Ana, Calif. content producer and culinary news outlet, FOODBEAST for a second time. The first campaign partnership was conducted in 2016 where 18 videos were released to local and national audiences to introduce them to Anaheim's unexpected food and beer scene. The highly-successful campaign earned Visit Anaheim and FOODBEAST more than 30 million digital impressions and won eight marketing and travel industry awards.
"FOODBEAST is extremely proud to be headquartered in a region with a diverse and flourishing dining scene across Orange County. Anaheim consistently leads the pack with both the quality and quantity of ground-breaking hospitality options," says Geoff Kutnick, CEO, FOODBEAST.
