Virtuoso® Network Offers Three-Day Orientation & Job Fair This August in Las Vegas
Want to be a Luxury Travel Advisor?
NEW YORK, May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Many people share your passion for travel; some have turned it into a successful career and now you can meet them. Virtuoso® is the retail travel industry's premier sales and marketing network. Each August Virtuoso holds a private event for 3,500 of the world's top retailers, advisors and travel suppliers; arranging more than 300,000 individual meetings to affect sales. For the first time in its 24-year old history, this event can now be previewed by serious travel advisor career-seekers.
The Virtuoso Difference, a three-day introduction to the network, will be held the weekend of August 13-15, 2011 at Bellagio in Las Vegas. Career prospects will attend seminars outlining the resources Virtuoso offers in beginning a career as a travel advisor, as well as meet Virtuoso's senior executives, participate in a job fair featuring the network's top host agencies, and observe the Opening Session of Travel Mart, including the one-to-one advisor-supplier meetings that follow.
"Getting started in the elite realm of luxury travel advising can be a little daunting," said Kristi Jones, President and COO of Virtuoso. "We created this three-day event to detail the 'how' and more importantly, the 'why' of this career path. Meeting our retail travel agency members, exploring the available training and client marketing resources, learning the product portfolio by physically meeting the travel providers…this is a unique opportunity to immerse in a pretty spectacular world."
Virtuoso Difference participants will get a chance to speak with advisors and agency owners who have joined the network in recent years. They will share how Virtuoso membership has impacted the success of their businesses and increased their personal career fulfillment.
Beyond those looking to change careers to travel consulting and new graduates interested in pursuing a career as a luxury travel advisor, current travel advisors and agency management outside of the Virtuoso network are also being selected to attend the event.
Cost for the weekend event is $500 per participant (excluding hotel and transportation) and includes (all at the Bellagio):
- One continental breakfast
- Two lunches
- One dinner and one cocktail reception
- Training
- Seminars
- Job fair
- Travel Mart kick-off
