Video Ad Personalization Firm, Clinch, Secures $3MM in Series A
--Hires Veteran Boaz Cohen as Chief Product Officer and Head of Business Development
--Expands its U.S. Presence and Invests Significantly in Facebook and Social Media Video Offerings
NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Clinch, a creative technology company that powers dynamic, personalized video advertising, announced today the completion of a $3 million Series A financing. The round was led by a select group of strategic, private investors, including lead investor Richard Gati, head of BXR Partners' Singapore office.
The funds will be used to expand the Company's U.S. presence and enable it to significantly increase its sales and product development efforts. Concurrently, Boaz Cohen was named Chief Product Officer and Head of Business Development. In addition, Clinch will expand its personalized digital video advertising offering for Facebook and YouTube.
"Video is the future of digital marketing and our technology is what the industry needs right now. Advertisers can make their video ad units more powerful – elevating them from brand awareness to direct response – by integrating technology that delivers the most relevant message to their audience and then tells them exactly where to purchase the product or service being offered," said Oz Etzioni, CEO, Clinch. "With all of the data available, there is no excuse for marketers not to dedicate the same level of resources and personalization to video ads that they bring to static ads; and in essence this is what Clinch does."
Clinch creates unlimited versions of high-quality, dynamic videos and increases ROI by delivering these personalized creative ads to the right audience at the right time regardless of the platform or device (web, mobile, in-app, social media and Connected TV). The company's scalable, automated creative technology – which does not require technical integration – enables brands to customize their message based on first- and third-party data streams such as location, user profile, interests and time of day.
Etzioni continued, "We are pleased to have Boaz join the team. Boaz brings to bear tremendous knowledge and industry relationships that will help fuel Clinch's growth."
In his role as Chief Product Officer and Head of Business Development, Cohen will leverage his nearly 20 years of experience to support Clinch's business and sales goals.
"Clinch is the only company that takes the complexity and time out of executing personalized videos, without asking the client to replace their existing DSP or media-buying platform," said Boaz Cohen. "Seeing the success of brands using Facebook to drive sales with static ads, I am very excited to bring Clinch's video ad personalization at scale into the Facebook platform. I look forward to working with the team to build and grow Clinch into the leading provider of dynamic, personalized video advertising on Facebook and Instagram."
Prior to joining Clinch, Cohen served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and General Manager of Advanced TV at Eyeview. He also served as Vice President of Product Management at TiVo, Noise and AnyClip and held senior positions with Rosetta, Amazon and Hot Telecom. Cohen earned his undergraduate degree from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from both Tel-Aviv University and Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University).
