LOS ANGELES, March 21, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The fifth annual Team Rubicon Salute To Service Awards presented by Kirkland & Ellis will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. Willie Geist, host of NBC's "Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist" and co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," will be the evening's host.
The fundraising event will honor and support the military veterans and first responders who dedicate their lives to serving those in need. This year's event will feature U.S. Navy Admiral (ret) Michael Mullen as a special guest. Mullen served as the 17th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from October 2007 to September 2011.

Ticket sales and donations collected through the Salute To Service Awards directly support Team Rubicon's disaster response operations in communities across the world. The organization deploys volunteers to disaster zones and does not charge residents for services provided. Through disaster response, Team Rubicon also helps veterans find a new sense of purpose, community, and identify often lost after leaving the military.
