Vendavo Appoints Technology Executive as Chief Commercial Officer
Enterprise Software Veteran Michael Hoffman Joins B2B Pricing Leader as Company Sharpens Focus on Global 2000 Customer Success
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Vendavo, the leading provider of margin and profit optimization solutions, announced today the appointment of technology executive Michael Hoffman as chief commercial officer. Hoffman joins the company after simultaneously serving as interim head of sales and an operating partner at Francisco Partners, which acquired Vendavo in October 2014.
"We are thrilled to welcome Mike as an official member of the executive team," said Patrick D. Quirk, president and chief executive officer of Vendavo. "Mike is an undisputed business leader with a track record of successfully scaling sales organizations in enterprise technology companies to profitable worldwide expansion and growth. Mike's strong global experience and leadership will help drive greater alignment with the needs of our customers and elevate business performance."
In this newly created role, Hoffman will lead the charge on overall worldwide commercial strategy and execution, integrating sales management, business consulting, and field sales and operations, as Vendavo sharpens its focus on driving business growth and penetration in the Global 2000 marketplace. He brings more than 20 years of experience creating and implementing successful growth strategies in enterprise software companies.
"This is an exciting time of growth for Vendavo and it is truly a privilege to permanently join the ranks of a great leadership team," Hoffman said. "The company already delivers billions in ROI to an impressive list of customers. I look forward to continue building our world-class sales organization to fully capitalize on Vendavo's tremendous growth potential and take the company to new heights."
Prior to joining Francisco Partners, Hoffman was senior vice president of worldwide sales for Mxi Technologies, an aviation maintenance management software provider, and president and founder of inSelligent, which provides sales strategies and frameworks for technology companies to boost business performance. As global vice president of sales field operation at NICE Systems, Hoffman drove run rates from $400 million per year to $800 million per year over a three-year span.
Hoffman will remain on the board of directors of inSelligent. He joins Vendavo after the company closed 2014 with a record number of bookings, resulting in a 23-percent increase year over year.
