Velos, Inc. Unveils Velos eResearch Version 9
- Intuitive Workflows Enhancing User Adaptability -
FREMONT, Calif., July 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Velos, Inc. announced today the release of Velos eResearch v9.0, a feature-packed version of the most easily adaptable clinical research management suite in the industry. Users will find that this new release of Velos eResearch has improved usability, thanks to an upgraded user interface (UI), superior interoperability with third party applications including Electronic Medical Records, comprehensive localization and internationalization capabilities, and enhanced compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
"This is one of the most robust releases of Velos eResearch since it was first launched," said Kamar Aulakh, Velos' Chief Operating Officer. "We believe that Velos eResearch v9.0 will facilitate the evolution of innovative and diverse clinical solutions for our customers."
Velos eResearch's noticeably simplified UI is apparent from the moment the user lands on the homepage. The fresh look and feel, restructured panel windows and menus – placed to maximize efficiency – make navigating Velos eResearch v9.0 easier than ever before. Simplified navigation is just the tip of the iceberg; users will also find convenient features like drag and drop functionality, actionable icons, and autocomplete lookups.
Velos eResearch v9.0 is now fully localizable and has been internationalized in support of Velos' global expansion. All text within the application such as labels, messages, and even buttons can be configured to reflect any localized vernacular. It also supports multiple currencies and date formats.
Velos also focused on ensuring this newest instance of Velos eResearch would support protocols using a system that has superior interoperability and an updated infrastructure. As Velos expands, it understands that one of the best ways to innovate is to collaborate with "best of breed" software systems. Towards this end, Velos has launched a Web Services Developer Program for its interface engine: Velos eMaven. The ultimate goal is to promote sharing and development of common solutions to issues that the Velos user community faces.
Another major benefit of the new release is in improved ad-hoc query and reporting solutions. One of the major enhancements is the support of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Clinical Trial Reporting Program (CTRP). This new functionality will allow users to review, validate and extract data from Velos eResearch for submission to the NCI in a streamlined fashion. Velos Data Analytics (VDA) is an enabling product that allows users to easily access and analyze Velos eResearch data. VDA works with most third-party analytics and business intelligence tools, including Tableau and Oracle BI. Other reporting solutions emerging in unison with version 9.0 are the Velos Data Transfer Utility and advanced ad-hoc queries.
