The Social Lounge was an oasis within the EMC World Conference, 2014 at The Venetian, Las Vegas, NV, with the goal of increasing media impressions through an inclusive, branded environment. The space was designed to serve as a venue to indoctrinate the casual user into the "sharing" culture in an environment completely conducive to social media engagement.
The Social Lounge was open to all attendees and included soft seating, small networking/meet-up areas, workstations with power, and a sponsored "Elect" section that attendees could enter and enjoy private engagement. Located on the show floor, it served as a draw to the amateur blogger, Twitter user, writer, etc., while serving as a central location for creative solace for the professional as well.
