US Open Stars Take Over Times Square Today To #RallyForACause

NEW YORK, Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- 

WHAT: Today some of the biggest names in tennis will bring the excitement of the upcoming US Open from Queens to Manhattan for a good cause. Tennis stars John McEnroe, Bob and Mike Bryan, Victoria Azarenka, Taylor Townsend, and Jack Sock are partnering with US Open sponsor Esurance for #RallyForACause, a fund-raising fan event that is bringing a state-of- the-art tennis court to life in the middle of Times Square.

Hosted by tennis doubles legend Murphy Jensen, #RallyForACause will challenge the speed and accuracy of the tennis stars to raise money for The V Foundation, one of the nation's leading cancer research organizations. Esurance will donate $500 for every volley that each star can accurately get on target.

WHY: Esurance aims to raise $150,000 for The V Foundation. Those watching #RallyForACause in-person or following online will also have a chance to get involved. The company is pledging to donate $10 on behalf of anyone who visits the event and checks in with an Esurance representative onsite and $1 for everyone who tweets @Esurance with the hashtag #RallyForACause.
